Psychotherapies
Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a one-on-one opportunity for patients to gain insight and learn specific skills (e.g., cognitive-behavioral strategies, meditation, guided imagery, relaxation training) to better manage any emotional symptoms and/or pain conditions. Our therapists are trained in CBT, psychodynamic, and integrative approaches. Individual therapy is usually conducted weekly for 10-16 sessions.
Group TherapyGroup therapy teaches patients similar skills as in individual therapy, but is conducted in groups of 5-10 patients to foster support and sharing of personal experiences. Examples of group topics include: pain management, stress reduction, relationship issues, and parenting. Group therapy is usually conducted weekly for 10-16 sessions, preferably in conjunction with individual therapy.
Couples Therapy
Couples therapy teaches dyads (e.g., spouses, partners, siblings, father-son, etc…) how to better understand their particular issues, problem-solve, and communicate more effectively. Couples therapy is usually conducted weekly for 10-16 sessions, preferably in conjunction with individual therapy.
Family therapy is a unique opportunity for the entire family to meet and discuss issues with the guidance of a trained therapist. Family therapy teaches family members how to identify issues, problem-solve, and communicate more effectively as a group. Family therapy is usually conducted weekly for 10-16 sessions, preferably in conjunction with individual therapy.
